Sri Venkataramana Temple is one of the important temple among the 18 prime temples of the GSB community in Dakshina Kannada region. Located on the banks of river Suvarna, this temple has a very rich history dating back to 500 years. Sri Venkataramana placed in-between Sridevi and Bhudevi is worshipped by many families who are associated with Kallianpur. Along with the main diety, utsaav murthy Lord Gopalakrishna, Parivaar dieties, Lord Hanuman, Lord Ganapathi, Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Garuda and the three ganas namely Ksethra Pala, Agni-bhairav and Drishti gana complete the temple. The temple witnessed the first Kanakabhiskha event in 1958 in the divine presence of HH Sri Sudhindra Teertha Swamiji and under the leadership of Dr Tonse Madhava Ananth Pai.

The Bhajana Saptha, which was started in the year 1928 celebrated 50^th year in 1978 and 75^th year in 2003 respectively. In the year 1989, Sri Venkataramana Temple was the first among all temples where Kashi Mutt Samsthan’s Vasantotsaava (Vyaasotsava) program started under the guidance of HH Sri Sudhindra Teertha Swamiji who blessed Kallianpur samaj bhandavas with a camp during Vasantha Masa (month). Sri Venkataramana Temple has also hosted the chaturmasya event of Sri Gokarna Mutt Samsthan , Sri Kashi Mutt Samsthan and Sri Kavle Gaudapadacharya Mutt Samsthan during the year 1994, 1997 and 2017 respectively.
