Arrival of First Garbha Gudi Sculptures
The first load of sculpture articles of Garbha Gudi arrived at our temple on Wednesday the 8th of November 2023. All the Trustees of the temple, members of the Jeernoddhara Committee, Aarchak Vrandas, and Samaj Bhadavads welcomed the truck carrying the first load, near Santhekatte Sri Veerabhadra temple at around 8.30 AM, and there the procession grandly held upto Temple.
Later all rituals and puja formalities were performed at temple premises by Aarchak Vranda & Samaj Bhandav.
Visit to Carpenter Workshop (16th November 2023)
The Core Committee members after obtaining estimation for carpentry work from four Carpenters, held meeting with them at Engineer’s Office at Udupi. After comparing the labor charges quoted by them and also advice of our Engineer, decided to entrust work order to Sri Harish AcharI from Kallamundkur, who has experience of constructing Sri Venkatramana Temples at Mangalore, Kaup & Katapady and recently Sri Mahalaxmi Temple at Uchila. Related photos are appended. By December 2023 we have to procure all wood required for temple.
Visit to Shilpi Workshop (29th November 2023)
The Core Committee members visited Sri Nagaraja Tantri’s workshop to assess progress in granite sculpture work related to our temple. It is observed that Garbha Gudi work is in progress and Suttu Pouli work has also began. Around 2 & half truck load of sculpture work is ready for shipment. The shilpi informed that by December 14, three full truck load will be delivered to temple site. With this we will be receiving 6 load of sculpture work to our temple site. He further informed that work related to garbhagudi, except dali work will be finished soon. Photos are annexed.
Balalaya Shilanyasa (29th November 2023)
As a part of renovation process of our temple, the Jeernodhara Committee decided to construct a temporary garbhagudi (Balalaya) near Yathri Nivas building and foundation stone was laid on Wednesday 29/11/2023 at 8.10 a.m., after following all our rituals & tradition. The Managing Trustee, Trustees, Jeernoddhara Committee members, Ten Members of temple were present on the occasion. Sri P V Shenoy, Managing Trustee of Sri Laxmi Venkatesh Temple, Udupi was the Chief Guest. Archaks of temple performed the Pooja & rituals.
After Bhajana Sapthaha will be over, main diety along with all Parivaar Devaru will be shifted to the Balalaya for daily Pooja viniyoga during new temple construction. We have to obtain date from H H Samyamindra Thirtha Swamiji for shifting of dieties to the Balalaya. Plan of Balalaya and photos taken during the occasion are annexed.
